The new MacBook Air, 11.6'' base model. Going to New York during christmas and will buy there the new Air. Here in The Netherlands it costs 1000 euro, in the USA it's around 700 euro (converted dollar - euro). Difference of 300 euro!
That's what I did in 2008 when the Original Mac Book Air came out, it saved at the time more than �450.:)

The 17" is cheaper by the way if you opt for the 100GB drive. In the last revision you didn't get a price drop on it. Now you do. With a higher education discount I could get a beast of a machine for the price of a 15" MBP.

Don't feel any real positive emotion out of it because of how long it took, and how the most damage of 9/11 came from our response in my opinion, but yay I guess? I don't believe he was very active in Al Qaeda anymore, and even if he was, he's an easy replacement.

If I own a PC and I want to run Vista, why would I want to also run Vista, on the same machine, in a virtual environment?
For Mac users, why would we want to install Vista-(via BootCamp) and then also use it under virtualization?
More importantly, for Mac users, why would we *want* to run Vista at all? :D Oh, you *have* to for some reason? Sorry to hear that...very unfortunate. :p

sure. apple has no problem giving a refund, as they keep their 30% that the developer now has to pay. that's a cool $300 that apple just ripped off from the developer all to protect their mistake and their idiot customers.

I bought this, a 16 gig. I paid two day shipping and it should have been here friday but it looks like I won't get it until Mon or Tues :( So much for two day shipping :(

I have an iMac core duo going at it. She isn't much with her 1.83Ghz but it'll be at it 24h a day. It's about to complete it's first WU after 1day 19hours. It sounds a bit long to me compared to the times a say reading the thread, is this normal?

I think it's best if Vista is avoided altogether. The best way to avoid problems with Microsoft is not to give them any money and not to load any of their software on your computer.
At work here we just discovered that upgrading to Internet Exploder 7 causes two of our most important Internet based products to not work properly. They ever heard about backwards compatibility or testing at Microsoft? Just reinforces my reasoning for not sending Microsoft almost $300 to subject myself to their newest software fiasco. I think I'll do something more rewarding and pleasurable like jab a Bic pen into the palm of my hand.
while it would be nice to live in a world where everything Microsoft made could easily be avoided, its certainly not the best solution at all for some people and their jobs/careers/etc. If you need compatibility with Windows, then you need it to get things done. It really does seems as if the cutesyeness of the iOS is spreading over to OSX.
I'd prefer a clean modern OS with usability first and foremost.

I search the internet far far more than I do Spotlight (I barely use Spotlight--too sluggish on my iBook). If they'd integrate google, wiki, amazon, etc. people'd be using Spotlight all day long. I find the ip4 to be way too heavy and awkward to hold. I like this design, it allows weight to be shaved off and perhaps (!) be more ergonomically friendly.
I agree that the back should be made extra study and NOT in chrome. I see them using the same type of backing as the ipads...
One more thing that the tapered back will enable is ease of use while its on a desk because the viewing angle will be nicer. On the other hand, it would make it more awkward in landscape mode and for playing game because one side would be thicker than the other. Perhaps its easy to get used to? time will tell!

This woman is obviously not thinking about the pain and suffering her loved ones will go through as they watch her health fail in the coming years. Diabetes can't be far off, and that will be the least of her worries.

3) Choose Business Forms.
4) Choose Brochure.
5) Choose a template that doesn't suck.
6) Wonder why brochures are listed under Business Forms.
7) Pray that you don't need more than a 6-column brochure on one double sided-sheet of paper.
