This rumor is 100% automatic BS.
You can come back and throw verbal stones at me if wrong, but this low-end computing pad is going to get that kind of unseen technology out the gate? First, the price of the device would be $900+, killing its market, unless there is some amazingly convenient reason for the 3D screens to be made as cheap as the regular ones used now. The iPad 3 + 3D making it iPad 3D seems just a tad too convenient for a dumb rumor to start. Sounds more like a joke said in a bar and spread as fact to see how far the fanboys would run.
Heck, they couldn't even bring out a retina-resolution screen yet on the iPad. Or OLED. ...and you think they'll implement 3D: the most useless innovation sparked by a Hollywood carnival barker?

I stopped in one during the summer for a car power plug for the iphone as i was traveling. they had only 1 generic one for almost $40! I walked to kmart next door and chose out of 3 kinds and bought a car and home plug charger for $20.

Because you want to sell 20 million units with no marketing risk, minimal inventory cost, large prepayments from the customer, and unusual engineering support from the customer.
yeah I don't understand what is so ironic about that when for years Sony has been supplying camera sensors to all the competitors including Nikon, Canon, Pentax, etc (I am talking about the whole camera sector not just DSLR) and Sony buys their components from competitors such as Samsung.

Please don't tell me that anyone that actually needs the CS apps can't plunk down $450-$1000 for the EDU version, but will shell out $3000 for an overpriced Mac Pro?
Students pay either less (edu-discount-not just in the U.S.) for their Mac, buy a refurbished model or buy a used Mac from the previous owner. In the best case, this reduces the price of a previous generation Mac to one third or even to 25 percent of the original price.

I have been waiting for the release of Sony's product. As a network engineer, I would love to download all of Cisco's PDF release notes and command references and have them at hand. I would also be able to upload pdfs of network maps. Plus it will be able to deal with RSS feeds, so I could subscribe to NYT feeds and have a personal newspaper.
If the ipod can top the ereader, it will drive sony crazy.

I can't find where I read it, but somewhere it looked like the formatting ate up 600 mb of space - YIKES!

I really hope that this will be done in a way that can be turned off (i.e - display as normal 2D) as this could really be a bad move for the iPad. The advantage of the iPad is that you can just use it casually, on your lap, on an armrest and so-on; but with 3D the angle has to be just-so or the effect doesn't work.
If it were a feature you can turn on and off easily, and maybe turns on automatically when you place the iPad on a stand, then it could be do-able, otherwise it's just going to be a nightmare as unlike handheld gaming devices you don't hold an iPad in any one-way.
In fact, on that point, is it even possible to have a 3D screen that works both horizontally and vertically? I suppose it could be but it might mean generating four separate images and building the screen to separate them, that's quite a bit of wasted GPU power right there, not to mention manufacturing cost on the screen.

This is not true. There is no specific assertion in the Old Testament of any triune nature of god.
I could type up a bunch of stuff, but this website (http://www.godandscience.org/apologetics/triunity.html) does a good job of covering all the bases regarding our difference of opinion on this matter. Here's two quick excerpts:
Jews say that the Shema (pronounced Shmah), "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord"1 contradicts the Christian doctrine that Jesus is God. In addition, there are a number of other verses that proclaim that God is one (see God is One). However, the triunity of God is taught throughout the Old Testament, including the Shema! How can a statement of oneness imply plurality? The word translated "one" from the Hebrew is echad, which demonstrates compound unity of oneness.

Remember what I said in the beginning. Complete understanding of the old testament comes through knowledge gained by the revelation of the new testament. Additionally, for the average person (who cannot read Hebrew and is not familiar with Jewish history and doctrine) it could be difficult to see the trinity in the old testament. That's why I suggest to people that they invest in a study Bible, possibly a Bible Encyclopedia, and some commentaries. The Bible does not contradict itself in it's overall message of God's revelation of himself and plan for restoring the relationship with man that was destroyed by sin. Sure there are differences of application and interpretation regarding secondary matters (food laws, sexuality, alcohol, etc. etc.) and that is why we have different denominations within the Christian faith. However, the primary matter of who God is, how he dealt with the problem of sin, and how he we are to treat one another is clear and without contradiction. That is why I feel confident in telling you that Westboro is "off the mark" because they are not following Christ's example with how they treat their fellow man and how they represent God to others.
I realize that, to you, what I'm about to say might be viewed as an issue of semantics or "word manipulation", but to a genuine follower of Christ there is no such thing as "my interpretation". I believe what God says in his word and if I am confused about something I look to other parts of scripture to help me get at the correct interpretation of what is confusing me. You see it doesn't matter what I think or what I wish it would say, I come to the Bible with no preconceived notions and let it stand on it's own.
This is obviously where we part ways. For me the Bible is the product of man. Nothing more.

Truer words were never written. But that's been true for a long time. Long before the iPad ever existed. They're masters at the bait and switch. They excel at mediocrity in customer service. They've perfected the art of hiring blowhard sales people who will tell you with conviction things I know aren't true before I even walk into the store. They use marketing techniques that border on the illegal, and reek with sleaziness. They build mega-superstores filled with 89% junk, and small pockets of quality products that you have to mine to find. And they strive for the unwarranted up sell and add-on.
Here's everything you need to know about Best Buy: When they were selling 6 foot HDMI cables for $70, claiming that it cost that much to produce them, I bought a 50 footer on-line for $75. And yes it's still working, five years later. Before anyone jumps on Monster for the overpricing, my on-line distributor told me at the time that he could buy the same Monster cable that BB was selling at $70 for $24. Still too much, for sure. But assuming that BB gets even better volume pricing than him, they were selling it for at least a 200% markup.
Rant complete. I feel better now... :D
